He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Tyron and Mildred Shaffer Tyron; his uncle Ken Shaffer; his aunt Betty Cabezut; his cousin Jeffrey Dusek; and his brother Paul.

He is survived by: his wife Shannon E. Moore; his children, Ronnie (Stephanie), Tom (Clara) and Julie Tippetts (Mike); his uncle Guy Kinney (Barbara); his aunt Ann T. Shaffer; and his cousin Victor Viall. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Luzerne County SPCA 524 E. Main St. Wilkes-Barre, 18702 or to the Salvation Army 500 S. Washington St. Scranton, 18505.
