Sandra Tompkins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Tompkins (Scranton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on April 29, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Sandra farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sandra is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Warman and Dorothy Rae Warman; and her sister Virginia Salcedo. She is survived by: her husband Barry Tompkins of Scranton; her daughters, Cheryl Tompkins Szynal (Jim Roberts) and Deborah Mendes (Matt Mendes); her grandson Michael Szynal Jr. (Lauren Hannagan); and her sister Elizabeth Wilcox (Douglas Wilcox). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Miller Bean Funeral Home (436 Cedar Ave, Scranton, PA 18505). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
