He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane R. Sr. Young and Mary Jane Minutes Young; and his siblings, Duane Jr., Clifford, Jeanette and Burt.
He is survived by: his daughter Maria (Melvin); his grandchildren, Anahi, Elijah, Noah, Melvin Ill, Melina, Jayson, Angel and Mellinette; his son Joshua (Brittany); his grandsons, Alexander and Lucian; and his brothers, Johnny, Stanley and Thomas.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home (1240 St Ann St, Scranton, PA 18504). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
