William Janssen Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Janssen of Scranton, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Janssen to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Janssen and Helen Anglin Janssen; and his brother Andrew Janssen. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Amico Janssen; his children, Denise Janssen of Scranton, Susan Caparo (Loren) of Elmhurst and William Janssen of Florida; his granddaughters, Cassandra Bryar (Matthew) and Katrina Caparo; and his sisters, Mary Grace Zelsnack, Ann Janssen and Helen Sklanka.

Viewing was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home (318 E Drinker St, Dunmore, PA 18512). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church (303 Smith St, Dunmore, PA 18512).

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to SS.
