He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lavelle and Clouda Nash Lavelle; his son Robert "Rex" Lavelle; and his siblings, Joseph Lavelle, Michael Lavelle, Robert Lavelle and Mary Jean DeNunzio.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Schild Lavelle; his children, Julie Whitehead (Mark), William Lavelle, Carolyn Lavelle (Tony Bender), Patricia Jerowski, Timothy Lavelle (Trina), John Paul Lavelle and Kristin Evans (Christian); and his siblings, Carol Lavelle and Edward Lavelle.
A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church (1703 Jackson St, Scranton, PA 18504).
