We announce the death of Yvonne Lance (Scranton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on October 20, 2026. Yvonne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Ruthkosky and Emma Ruthkosky; her husband Fred; her son Robert; and her siblings, Philip, Robert and Diane "Dee" Ruthkosky Albright.
She is survived by: her children, Fred (Rose) and Laurie Jakes (Mark); her sister Patricia Ruthkosky Kolankowski; her daughter-in-law Jean; and her grandchildren, Katie, Stephanie, Sean, Victoria and Tyler. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Jackson Street Baptist Church (1206 Jackson St, Scranton, PA 18504). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
