He is survived by: his wife Catherine Marie Coates (Kulesa); his children, Susan Ann Coates and Robert Thomas Coates; and his siblings, William Coates and Kathleen Scalia (Coates). He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home (301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
