He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin C. Buckles and Helen Buckles; and his siblings, Mary Brosius, Shirley Klose, William E. Snyder Jr. and Elwood "Corky" Buckles (Patricia Snyder).
He is survived by: his son Charles Berie of Elkhart; and his brother Fred "Putt" Hunter (Gloria) of Northumberland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
