He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hackett and Laverne Hackett (Whitmore); his daughter Deborah Williams; his granddaughter Brooke Pierson; his grandson-in-law Tim Valiknac; his siblings, Naomi (Bob Williams), Larry "Red" (Dee Hackett), Judy (Vito Mariano) and David Hackett; and his brothers-in-law, Tony Carbo and Ike Beal.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara L. Hackett (Beal); his children, Charles Hackett (Janice) and Kimberly Reuss (Brian); his grandchildren, Jessica Johnston (Barney), Shana Williams (Jarrett), Chaz Hackett (Erin), Carlee Valiknac, Cameron Hackett, Randi McGovern, Staci Bernhard (Ryan) and Brian Michael Reuss (Madison); his sons, Josh Pierson and Gary McGovern; his great grandchildren, Destiny Cocarteu (Tristan), Hanna Johnston, Colin Pierson, Hailey Pierson, Jaxson Edwards, Brooklyn Edwards, Trinity Edwards, Arianna Hackett, Julianna Hackett, Landon Valiknac, Braydon Valiknac, Camdon Valiknac, Berkley McGovern, Hayden McGovern, Eloise Bernhard and Sophie Bernhard; his great great grandchild Bentley Cocarteu; his siblings, Brian Hackett (Pat), Sylvia Jones (Dan) and Linda Carbo; and his siblings-in-law, Rose Hackett, Karen Beal, Ted Beal (Faye) and Barry Beal. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation (130 Wisconsin Ave, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
