He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Tompkins (Whitney); his children, Katie Swiglo (David) of York, Nathaniel Tompkins and McKenzie Tompkins; his siblings, Randy Tompkins (Phyllis) of Michigan, Sarah Nelson of Michigan and Anne Staver (Tracy) of Ohio; and his stepsiblings, Linda Sheehan (Tim) of Arizona and Gary Smith of Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
