He was predeceased by: his father Thomas F. Shanahan. He is survived by: his mother Billie Shanahan; his siblings, Colleen Major, Maureen (Jim Rodella), John, Jim (Barb), Nancy (Joe Carlini), Katie (Pat Hall) and Megan Shanahan (J. Bartley Cosgrove); his wife Mary Pat; and his children, Dylan, Ryan and Haley. He is also survived by twenty-five nieces and nephews as well as three great nieces and nephews.
