She was predeceased by: her parents, Suraj Patel and Mangaldas Patel. She is survived by: her husband Bipin Gulabdas Amin; her sons, Kumar and Amar; her daughters-in-law, Lisa Rivera and Nrupur Patel; and her granddaughters, Lakshmi, Lekha, Ashni and Jesal.
Even after developing Parkinson's disease at age 82, which affected her mobility in her last years, she continued to face each day with grace and strength.
