She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert H. Smith and Edith W. Smith (Allen); her husband Dr. Raymond Atchison Yourd; her son Daniel K. Yourd; and her siblings, Joan Jones and Dr. Charles Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Susan E. Nealer (Stephen) of Syracuse, NY, Raymond A. Yourd III of Pittsburgh and David A. Yourd (Helen) of Pittsburgh; and her daughter-in-law Karen Yourd. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
