He was predeceased by: his parents, William D Johnston, and Marguerite Johnston, Jr.; and his former wife Patricia (Styborski). He is survived by: his wife Donna (Bens); his stepson Charles "CJ" Bens (Holly Philips); his grandchildren, Jacob, Daniel Nichols, Marisa Robertson (John), Joshua and Samuel Bens; and his siblings-in-law, James "JD" Hilliard and Joyce King.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schellhaas Funeral Home (1600 Stone Mansion Dr, Sewickley, PA 15143). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Presbyterian Church (2262 Rochester Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heritage Presbyterian Church or The DoorWay, 10 California Ave., Avalon, PA.
