He is survived by: his wife Linda Bacon; his children, Elaine Greenawalt of Sharon, Nanette Ruggles (John) of Sharon, George Porterfield (Glenda) of Austintown, OH and Edward Porterfield (Heather) of Accokeek, MD; his siblings, Elizabeth King of Sharon, Phyllis Hiles of Franklin, PA, Howard Porterfield (Eddie) of Sharon, Francis Porterfield (Laura) of Sharon and Frank Porterfield (Sandy) of Sharpsville; and his grandchildren, Scott Greenawalt (Hannah), Ryan Greenawalt, Katelynn Miller (Brian), Clara Weimer, Jordan Ruggles, Cody Ruggles, Sean Ruggles, Alexis Porterfield and Edward Porterfield.
