It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara C. Penkrot of Shavertown, Pennsylvania, born in Kingston, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Chester Gutowski and Jennie Polomski Gutowski; her husband Leonard; and her siblings, Stanley Gutowski and Julie Mantione.

She is survived by : her children, David Penkrot (Cathy) and Amy Symeon; her grandchildren, Amanda Penkrot, Michelle Penkrot, Michael Symeon and Jack Symeon; and her nieces, Nicole Mantione, Tessa Mantione and Nina Mantione Altavilla. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and friends.
