He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Deiter and Karlys M. Deiter (Zimmerman); his sons, Kevin and Justin Deiter; his siblings, George Deiter and Elizabeth Luongo; his nephew Brian Luongo; and his close friend Timothy Cleary (Tim).
He is survived by: his children, Melinda Deiter, John Deiter Jr. and Jeremiah C. Deiter; and his nephew Bobby Luongo (Lori). He is also survived by grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
