He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Kimmel and Emma Kimmel (Schaeffer); and his siblings, Edwin'Skip'Kimmel (Julia), Carl Kimmel (Willadene), Gertrude Bouch (Fred), Connie Kimmel and Ruth Kimmel.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Kimmel (George) of Shelocta; and his children, Glenn Jr. (Kathy) of Shelocta, Eugene (Mary) of Blairsville, Rosemary Shrout of Shelocta and Jennifer Anderson (Bob) of Blairsville. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Plumcreek Church of the Brethren (3087 Dutch Run Rd, Shelocta, PA 15774). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flower, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Plumcreek Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund or to Plumcreek Church of the Brethren Bible 2 School at 3087 Dutch Run Road, Shelocta, PA, 15774.
