He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman F. Dillen and Margaret A. Busch (Martin); his wife Lucinda F. "Cindy" Dillen; his son Norman E. Dillen, Jr.; and his great grandchild Sawyer Steffish.

He is survived by: his sons, Russell Dillen (Linda) of Shelocta and Mark Dillen (Jen) of Avonmore; and his grandchildren, Trevor Dillen, Brittany Steffish (Taylor), Mya Eaglehouse, Tara Lear (Shane), Savannah Pennington (Brenden) and Dustin Dillen (Shelby).
