We announce the death of Mary L Shatto of Shermans Dale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 99. Mary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Frye, Sr. and Margaret Gelbaugh Frye; her husband Elmer Shatto Jr.; her son Darwin E. Shatto; her children-in-law, Marian McGarvey Shatto and Eugene Kapp; her grandson Douglas Kapp; and her siblings, Carl Frye Jr., Dorothy Jean Finkenbinder and Linda Kirk.
She is survived by: her daughter Marjorie A. Kapp of Shermans Dale; her sister Glenda R. Ritter of Shermans Dale; and her grandchildren, Jacklyn D. Kline of Lewisburg, Daphne J. Shatto of Shermans Dale, Timothy L. Shatto of Shermans Dale, Mitzi G. Richard of New Bloomfield, Michelle A. Bogard of Shermans Dale, Amy R. Robinson of New Bloomfield and Scott R. Kapp of Shermans Dale. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
