We bid farewell to Dale Albion Krothe (Shickshinny, Pennsylvania), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 1, 2026 at the age of 92. Dale touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Krothe and Florence Krothe (Rinehimer); his wife Ferne Soberick; his in-laws, Jack and Faye Soberick; his siblings, Joan Viti (Roland), Jay (Irene) and Noel; and his siblings-in-law, Jack Soberick and Lois Soberick.

He is survived by: his daughter Lynn Sharon; his sisters, Donna Goobic and Kay Wolfe (Mark); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Krothe, Jane Soberick and Bill Soberick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews.

The family asks donations be made to Historical and Preservation Society of the Greater Shickshinny Area, 14-16 Main Street, Shickshinny, PA 18655.

“Mr. Krothe was one of the best teachers I ever experienced . He was patient with me as I struggled through his geometry classes. Though I ultimately did fine, without his kindness and approach to my lack of desire to learn geometry, he gave me the motivation to push through, which was a major lesson in life I learned from him and one that I attribute to my having had a successful professional career. . I am forever indebted to Mr. Krothe! May he rest in peace.”
