He is survived by: his wife Cathy Valyo Sims; his children, Cathy Gunther (Dave), Leo Sims (Kaitlyn) and Justin Sims (Sarah); his grandchildren, Noah, Addison, Jude, Kaleb, Madison, Rhiannon and Kaylee; his pets, Mojo, Wyatt, Scipio and Gizmo; and his siblings, Lisa Valyo, Richard Sims, Rodney Sims, Tina Fielding and Rose Gillis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
