He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary Kowalchick (Sincavage) and Anthony Kowalchick; and his sisters, Frances Blue and Nellie Meshisky. He is survived by : his children, Patricia A. Rentschler and David P. Kowalchick; his grandchildren, Lori, David and Jonathan; and his great grandchildren, Kate and Nathan.
