Ruth H. Heist Sweitzer Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth H. Heist Sweitzer of Shillington, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Ruth shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ruth farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her husband Henry B. Sweitzer; her former husband Robert D. Heist; and her parents, Frank W. Haas and Helen M. (Ohlinger). She is survived by: her son Robert M. Heist (Vali); her grandson Robert E. Heist (Valerie) of Florida; and her great grandchild Beckett.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to The St. Francis House, or The Animal Rescue League of Berks County.
