It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John L. Barner of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Barner, and Katherine Fitzgerald Barner, Sr.; and his brothers, George H. Barner, Jr. and Larry Barner. He is survived by: his pet Rascal; his sister Betty L. Bernard of Carlisle; his sibling's children, Paul Barner (Eunice), Gary Barner, Barbara Barner, Kathy Lively and Linda Shoemaker; his caregiver Steven S. Bernard; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Barner. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
