He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth L. Schwarzel and Mary Evelyn Schwarzel (Ferrington); his wife Elayne Schwarzel (Deegan); and his siblings, Kenneth W. Schwarzel, Janet Allebach and Joanne Shelby-Klein.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Born (Herman) of Calabash, NC and John "Jack" Schwarzel of Export, PA; his granddaughters, Jenna DuPlessis (Tyler) of Lancaster, WI, Jillan Newcomer (David) of Wilmington, NC and Jaidyn-Marley Schwarzel of Ypsilanti, MI; his great grandchild D. J. Newcomer; and his brother Joseph E. Schwarzel of Cheswick, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
