It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta C. Shafer of Slatington, Pennsylvania, born in Peekskill, New York, who passed away on February 1, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Travis and Muriel Travis (Lubengeiger). She is survived by : her husband Frank S. Shafer; her daughter Erika (Thomas Krock) of Effort; her grandchildren, Austin and Brianna; and her brother John Travis.
