We bid farewell to Douglas E. Heckman (Slatington, Pennsylvania), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 9, 2025 at the age of 83. Douglas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlington Heckman and Mary M. Heckman (Kunkle). He is survived by: his partner Gail; his son Darrin D. Heckman (Carol) of Bath; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Stirling (Irene) and Rachel (L. Stirling); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Skye, Russell and Griffith; his sister Marilee Oplinger (Carl) of Emmaus; his nieces, Anne Oplinger and Amy Oplinger Lewerenz (Thomas); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, William and Meredith.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harding Funeral Home, Inc. (25-27 N 2nd St, Slatington, PA 18080). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
