He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Scheffler and Marie Scheffler (Roth). He is survived by: his wife Veronica M. Scheffler (Babyak); his stepsons, Richard T. Gabovitz (Beth) of Walnutport, Stephen Gabovitz of Slatington and Michael Gabovitz (Jennifer Murphy Gabovitz) of Walnutport; his granddaughter Kirsten Gabovitz; and his stepgrandsons, Jason and Christopher Ritche. He is also survived by 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Assumption BVM Catholic Church (649 W Washington St, Slatington, PA 18080). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ron's memory can be made to the church memorial fund.
