It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Schmick of Slatington, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Guy L. Schmick; her parents, Charles Schaffer and Leah Schaffer (Rauch); and her brothers, Ernest C. Schaffer and Eugene O. Schaffer.
She is survived by: her children, Charles W. Schmick (Shawn) of Statesville, NC, Cynthia L. Hallman (William) of Slatington, Jeffrey L. Schmick of Slatington and Tammy L. Schmick of Coplay; and her sisters, Dorothy L. Hoffer of Whitehall and Mae M. Tanczos of Slatington. She is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters.
