She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Kinnard and Constance Kinnard. She is survived by: her siblings, Connie, Anne, Freddie and Herb; her former husband George W. Smith; her husband Alfred Barnes; her sister Alice Davidson; her children, Stephen Smith (Kathleen), Susan Thomas and Eric Smith; her grandchildren, Heather Thomas, Christopher Smith (Kara), Matthew Smith and Alexis Green (Lamarr); and her great grandchildren, Azola Thomas Owens, Giovanni, Lena and Lulu Green.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Sixth Presbyterian Church in honor of Mildred S. Barnes.
