Bretz of Smethport, Pennsylvania, born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Bretz and Matilda Bretz (Plattner); his wife Phyllis C. McGavisk Swanson; his brothers, Willis and Robert Bretz; his stepdaughter Rosemary Swanson; and also Betty Daugherty.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Pesock of Coudersport, Tina, John E. Bretz (Jennifer) of Cranesville, PA and Richard L. Bretz, Jr. (Tammy) of North Carolina. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, And several nieces and nephews.
