He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Lightner and Kitty Lightner (Fox); his wife Betty Lightner (Barrett); his children, Roger Dale Lightner and Janice Marlene Lightner Wagner (Dalessio); his granddaughter Michelle Lee Dalessio; his siblings, Murial Anderson, Carol Campbell (Harold), Myron Veryl "Bud" Lightner and Byron Earl; his sons-in-law, Harry Mills and Jeff Wagner; and his siblings-in-law, Louise, Virginia Lightner, James Preteroti and Calvin Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Lightner of Smicksburg, Daniel Lightner (Mandy Myers) of Smicksburg, Sandra Mills of Smicksburg and Barbara Lightner of Smicksburg; his grandchildren, Eric Rummell (Kayla), Brandon Lightner (Shannon), Justin Mills, Laura Skamai (Joey), Megan McEntire (Stewart) and Kayla Lightner; his great grandchildren, Lucas, Ellie, Levi, Eden Skamai and Owen Lightner; his sister Marlene Preteroti of Smicksburg; and his children-in-law, Joseph Dalessio of Rochester Mills and Melissa Lightner of Dayton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 2540 Dayton Smicksburg Road, Dayton, PA 16222.
