It is with sadness that the passing of Edward Leer of Somerset, Pennsylvania is shared. Edward, born on May 9, 1942, passed away on October 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Clyde and Marie Leer (Koontz); his siblings, Richard Leer, Wilbert Clyde Leer Jr. (Helen), Benjamin Leer (Judy), Mary Jane Marzo (William) and Barbara Stewart (Paul); his sister-in-law Wanda; his nephew Roger Leer; his nieces, Barbara Miller and Kim Kirsh; and his brothers-in-law, George Schrock, Clarence Weimer, Ernie Stahl, George Pitzer and Phil Lando.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Leer (Troy); and his siblings, Tommy Leer, Samuel Leer (Terri), Doris Schrock, Patricia Weimer, Maxine Stahl, Lois Frantz (William), Katherine Pitzer, Judith Lando and Peggy Leer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Halverson Funeral Home (476 W Main St, Somerset, PA 15501). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friedens Lutheran Church, 131 S. Main St., Friedens, PA 15541.
