She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer H. and Mary J. Ling (Small); her husband Kenneth I. Burkett; her granddaughter Nicole Firestone; her granddaughter-in-law Kristi Burkett; and her siblings, Clarence, David, Clair Ling, Edna M. Davies, Betty L. Frazier and Doris Springer.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Burkett, Glenda Rose of Greensboro, NC, Pamela Meyers of Somerset, Lisa Harr of Somerset and Darlene Firestone (Blaine) of Somerset; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey Burkett (Brittany), Matthew Burkett (Leah), Angie Weaver (Dan), Brad Burkett, Eric Burkett (Tiffany), Lacey (Ken Davies), Allen Burkett, Steven Fickes (Suzanne), Travis Firestone and Jennifer Sharp (Sipho). She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services (494 W Main St, Somerset, PA 15501). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
