He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe J. Knappenberger, Sr. and Esther Knappenberger (Kraemer); his son Ronald Knappenberger; and his siblings, Esther "Sissy" Leister and Forrest Knappenberger.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Pecharo; his children, Sandra V. Bernard of Quakertown, PA, Monroe "John" Knappenberger, Jr. of Collegeville, PA and Donna Narvaez of Telford, PA; and his sisters, Rebecca "Becky" Landis of Green Lane, PA, Ruth "Ruthie" E. Knappenberger of Souderton, PA and Florence "Sugar" Schmitt (Joseph) of San Diego, CA.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
