He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Custer and Bertha Custer (Nelson); and his siblings, Eileen Tranter, Jerri Templeton, Lorraine Marks, Edna Huff, Nelson and Reverend Robert Custer.

He is survived by : his wife Catherine A. (Myers); his children, Tracy, Kenneth (Sara) and Katherine (William Dunkle); and his grandchildren, Jessica Dunkle and William Dunkle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
