He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael James Cannonie Sr. and Helen Homza (Conley); his stepfather Joseph Homza; and his siblings, Robert Homza (Bobby) and Traila Graffius.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce Ann Cannonie (Mitchell); his children, Michael Joseph (Amy), Brenda Marie Holt and Scott Erik (Wendy); his grandchildren, Samantha, Sophia, Tyler, Conner and Elliot; and his great grandchildren, Carson and Cecilia.
