He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Strang and Mae Strang (Wagaman); his wife Bertha L. Strang (Scott); his son Robert E. Strang; his grandson Timothy E. Kendall; his great grandchild Kole Kendall; and his siblings, Kathleen Kauffman, Gloria Grove, Claudine Bakner, Edgar Strang, Kenneth Strang, Herbert Strang, Denton Strang, Joseph Strang, Hiram Strang and Eugene Strang.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda S. Kendall (Henry) of Waynesboro; his daughter-in-law Barbara J. Strang of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, Deborah Kintzel (Frank), Krissy Lederer (Larry), Daniel Kendall (Lori) and Brandy Symonds; his great grandchildren, Larry, Katie, Carolyn, Faith, Lane, Payton and Ginnah; and his great great grandchild Hudson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
