He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Mary Toomey (Mendall); his siblings, John Edward Toomey, Mary Welby and Joseph Toomey; his daughter Donna Doerner Woodruff; and his grandson Timothy Toomey.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah (Bradley); his children, Jayne Dumbleton (Doug), Dennis (Phyllis), Michael, Bill (Jana), Brian (Meghan) and Tim (Cheri); the mother of his children Jane Gisel; and his stepdaughters, Kristen Zamichieli (John) and Carolyn Bovell. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
