He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin L. Sterner and Annie M. Sterner (Hoover); and his spouse Jean M. Sterner (Auchey). He is survived by: his children, D. Samuel Sterner (Sandra) of Spring Grove, Sally E Brick (William) of Hanover and Sue Ellen Schandler (Albert) of Spring Grove. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
