He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Hoover and Florence Hoover (Gentzler); his children, Kathy Kern and Dale Hoover; and his siblings, Robert Hoover, Earl Hoover, Ruth Fuhrman and Francis Hoover.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian A. Hoover (Kessler); his children, Michael Hoover (Barbara) and Cheryl Bohnert (Michael); his daughter-in-law Julie Hoover; and his grandchildren, Lindsey, Tyler, David, Lauren, Larissa, Jessica, Andrea, Erica, Drew, Jessa, Molly, Devan, Michael II, Brooke and Lila. He is also survived by his 19 great-grandchildren.
