He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry J. Hartlaub and Bernadine Hershey Hartlaub; and his siblings, Thomas, Richard "Dick", Jack, Gary Hartlaub, Sandy and Patsy Hartlaub.
He is survived by: his wife Adrienne Kiser Hartlaub; his children, Michelle Garrett (Jason) of Spring Grove, Joshua Hartlaub of Hanover and Adam Hartlaub (Stephanie) of York; his grandchildren, J. T. Garrett, Alexandra Flurie, Sage Hartlaub, Daxton Yike, Hope and Hunter (Megan Hartlaub); his great grandchildren, Gavin and Baylor; and his sister Peggy Hartlaub. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
