He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell E. Hilker and Mary Louise Hilker (Wolfgang); and his siblings, Tony Hilker, Edwin Hilker, Lucille Emig and Charlotte Stevens.
He is survived by: his wife Rose M. Hilker (Dubs); his children, Angie Hilker of Thomasville, John L. Hilker, Jr. (Katie) of Spring Grove, Kim O'Brien of Hanover and Matthew D. Hilker of Spring Grove; his grandchildren, Sam Hilker, Will Hilker of Spring Grove, Keara O'Brien and Jack O'Brien of Hanover; his sisters, Nadine Diehl of York and Nancy Anderson of Dover; and his foster son Michael Rife. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Bible Church (603 Wilson Ave, Hanover, PA 17331). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
