John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. M. and Vivian Waybright (Sansevero) of Gettysburg. He is survived by: his wife Flo Waybright (Hibbs); his children, Jacob (Susan Waybright) of Carlisle, PA and Sarah (Elliott Leonard) of Spring Grove, PA; his granddaughters, Naomi Waybright and Emma Leonard; and his sister Diann James. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM and on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Calvary United Methodist Church (11 N Richland Ave, York, PA 17404).
