Though Marie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald K. Hassinger and Louise T. Hassinger (Barrett); her son Jesse Paul Shaffer; and her brother Donald B. Hassinger. She is survived by: her children, Jannette Houtz (Wayne) of Bellefonte, Suzanne Moyer (Gene) of Spring Mills and Max Brown (Diane) of Spring Mills; and her siblings, Molly DeArmitt of Pleasant Gap and James Hassinger (Patty) of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
