He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Dean and Erica; his fiancée Maggie Briggs; his mother Bonnie Johnson; his sister Marcia Johnson-Reinhart; his brother-in-law John Reinhart; his brother Dan Johnson (Joyce); his nieces and nephews, Ashley Stiver, Ryan Stiver and Cameron Reinhart; his great-niece Sierra Varner; and his father Homer Johnson.
In lieu of flowers and memorial contributions Doug would say "Eh, times are tough, keep your money. Do something nice for someone and think of me.".
