We announce the death of Dimitri Tzoumakaris of Springfield, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 28, 2026. Dimitri will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Dimitri will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Dimitri’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his wife Effie; his son Thanasi (Lauren); his granddaughter Ifigenia; his brother Kosta Tzumakaris (Katerina); and his nephews, Peter and Thanasi Tzumakaris.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (30 E Forge Rd, Media, PA 19063). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at the Arlington Cemetery (2900 State Rd, Drexel Hill, PA 19026).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Dimitris's memory.
