He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ruth; his children, James H. Smith (Rosa) and Paula Ahearn (Paul); his grandchildren, Jimmy, Samantha, John-Paul, Michael and Isabella; his great grandchildren, Aurora, Daniel and Jameson; and his siblings, Clare Wilson, Jean Barnett and Joseph Smith.
Viewing will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the St. Edmond Church. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery (1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064).
In lieu of flowers, family request donations made in "Smitty's" memory to St. Edmond Church.
