He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Parkinson and Beatrice Parkinson; his grandson John Ryan Parkinson; and his siblings, Beatrice Flanigan and Jim Parkinson.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Parkinson; his sons, Dennis Parkinson (Gloria), Timothy Parkinson (Linda) and Patrick Parkinson (Amy); his grandchildren, Krista (Matt), Marissa Wellman (Casey), Erin, Ella and Jack; his great grandchild Emerald; and his sister Lorraine Parkinson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
